Hi,
I wrote this about some kind of game, that we can „play“ with other students from Prague. It was about Gaudeamus Alkotour. Someone from you wrote that more interesting for him are museum of arts or something like this. Unfortunatelly, if I want some culture in Prague I go to the theatre, but I know about one place which is museum. Donť worry, it´s not the National Museum. It is Dancing House. There are some exhibitions in gallery, also hotel, bar and restaurant. I was there on exhibition about 70´s and 80´s years in 20´s century about 2 moths ago. It was very interesting because we have some things from these years at home. Also I found the telefone number of my grandparents in phone list. This building is very famous in Prague, mainly for the reason, that Václav Havel was born here. He was the most famous man in Czech Republic. It was our first president and I dare to say that everybody loves him. If you go to the Dancing House I hope that you will like it.

Best regards Veronika :)

Blog which I read was really useful for me and my friends . It was interesting to find out some information about competitions which you have between universities and of course I was rather pleased that every month you have different events in which students can take part. I have already researched Prague for a several times but It was also useful for me to hear about some new places which I can visit and take some photos.
It will be good to know more about some
musical or art  festivals which will take place in Prague in the nearest time. Also it will be entertaining to read about your life as a student of Czech university, and maybe some funny stories)
In general, your way of writing is nice and clear for me, and
the only suggestion is to continue to develop your skills and become better and better every day)

The little bit of students life - how we fight?

Hi,
My name is Veronika and I´d like to tell you something about Prague and how you can live there. For example, I just came back to home from theatre. In centre of city is a lot of theatres, small and as well big one. But this information tells you probably every man, cause everywhere is some theatres, cinemas, coffee bar or something like this. I think that more interesting fun for hardworking students (that you are of course ;)) is Gaudeamus Alkotour. Do you have some idea what it is? I tell you. It is one of the biggest fight between colleges. There are 5 colleges (like Czech Technical University – the best one, Charles University, University of Economics, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague and University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague) which battle for win the title of drinking. Every students drinking for own school and gives token. The tokens have to put the box and which school has the most of the token wins. For information, this is right now and I´m at home and have to writing article while I should fight for my school. So I hope you value that I am writing this, because I should be there. No, I am just joking :). Activities like this are very popular in Prague and they are every month in different version. For example, now it is the Alkotour, the next month can be some festival or Suit up party etc. I hope you like this article and if you come to Prague you will be satisfied.

Best regards Veronika :).

All you need to know about Prague

Hello,
do you want to know something about Prague? Okay, we can help you and give you some advice. Prague is so beautiful city, where you will change your life, it will be your best time! In this city you will meet a lot of interesting people, you will find many  attractive places, and you will achieve higher education. The last thing is vitally important for you.  At the first time living there maybe  wouldn’t be easy but be patient and she will return it back.
We know that you have plans to study  in Czech technical university, but we cannot tell you, if it  will be difficult  or not because it depends only on you. But we can recommend you some places, where you can go.  In summer you can spend your time in park, for example Letenské náměstí and Stromovka are the most beautiful. In the evening you can go clubbing, Dlouhá street is full of nice clubs with different  kind of music and everyone can choose what he/she want but is it little bit expensive. If you want something cheaper, go to club Popocafepetl. When you will go to home after party, please be careful of your things because pickpockets are everywhere. Don’t catch the taxi  on the street, it’s too expensive. You can call some taxi, download some app on your mobile or you can use Uber, it’s cheaper. If you are not lazy you can go home by night tram or bus, it’s not a problem, just buy a ticket { 24 czk = 30 min| 32 czk = 90 min| 260 czk = Opencard for student for 1 month} . We hope, that our information will help you. Have a nice living in Prague

Best regards, Nikola and Aleksandra :)

Dear Students,

Welcome to your intercultural student exchange blog!

The goal of this blog is to write information for international students who come to study at Czech universities! What would you like to tell them about your university life and living in the Czech Republic? What are the most important things to know when you move to the Czech Republic? Is there something they should or should not expect? Do you have any recommendations for them? What lifestyle and/or cultural tips would you share with them? Is there something to be careful about!

This blog will be read by real international students of the CTU who are waiting for any information which might help them feel more at home in the Czech Republic! After some time they will surely give you feedback on your advice!

Thank you for your contribution and we are looking forward to reading your posts!
